The Bananas in Old Town that you see today is the resurrection of the original Bananas gifts, which was located in the ghost town of Jerome, Arizona in the 1980's and 1990's. My name is Teri Von Gausig and at the time my then husband and I sold our insurance business and decided to run a gift shop.

 

Everyone thought that we had gone "bananas" and the name was born! Years went by and our store eventually had to close, but the dream never left me.

Fast forward to 2020 and my dream began to rise again. Though the pandemic hit, doors kept opening for me to once again “Go Bananas”, leave my job as an Escrow Officer, and open Bananas In Old Town.

 

Bananas is back with a new name and a new look. I'm so happy to be a part of the Old Town business family and Bananas in Old Town plans on staying for a very long time.
